Police are reminding communities to check they have robust security measures in place if they have lead in any of their buildings, especially churches.
This follows an incident that occurred between 3pm Thursday 5 July and 10am Friday 6 July in Snape.
Some lead was partially removed from the notice board outside the church. The lead was found in the churchyard. It is believed that the lead was discarded as it was security marked with Smartwater (https://www.smartwater.com/)
Although no other incidents have been reported, Police are reminding churches and businesses to be vigilant and to ensure appropriate security measures are in place.
