Our next film shows are as follows:-
Friday 13 September: Evita (1996)

The film adaptation (1996) of the hit Broadway musical based on the real-life story of Eva "Evita" Duarte de Peron, a B-picture Argentinian actress who rose from poverty to eventually become the wife of Argentinian president Juan Perón, and the most beloved and hated woman in Argentina. “Worshipped by a nation… she wished to be known as a saint.” Her huge political influence and constant charity works earned her scorn and fear from the military and upper classes but adoration and love from the workers and descamisados.
Featuring Madonna, Jonathan Pryce, Antonio Banderas. Directed by Alan Parker.

Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle joins celebrated screen¬writer Richard Curtis for a new comedy starring Lily James, Himesh Patel and Kate McKinnon.
In Lowestoft, Jack Malik is a frustrated musician whose musical career is going nowheredespite the faith that his friend/manager Ellie Appleton has in him. However, on the night Jack decides to give up, the world is hit with a massive blackout during which Jack is hit by a bus. Upon regaining consciousness, Jack learns to his astonishment that he is apparently now the only one who knows the music of the Beatles. Whilst trying to wrap his head around what is happening, Jack finds himself on a journey to figure out what happened on that one night, and to bring back joy and the memory of the one band from yesterday.
Also featuring Ed Sheeran in a cameo role. Filmed in Ramsholt, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Clacton and elsewhere.

The film starts at 7.30pm, doors open 7pm. Tickets £5 in advance £6 on the door, from the Library or Websters Newsagents, or ring 07507 802360. Licensed bar and ice creams. Car parking available. (Programme subject to change.)
