su 18 Feb 2024 | Thursday morning on the B1118 at Hoxne a silver Kawasaki motorbike and a red Volkswagen T-Roc were in collision. Ambulance and fire crews plus a Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) critical care team attended. Sadly the motorcyclist a man in his 30s died at the scene. tu 27 Apr 2021 | Hoxne - Arrest after three arson incidents Police have arrested a man in his 40s after three incidents of arson not endangering life in Hoxne. The most recent incident took place in the very early hours of Friday 23 April off Green Street in the village. Police were called at 1:00am to reports of a suspicious fire at an unused farm building. An earlier incident took place in the very early hours of Saturday 17 April, off Low Street, near to the Swann Inn public house. Sometime between 00:45am and 1:30am it was reported that the boundary garden hedges and fencing of a property had been set alight. The following day, Sunday 18 April, a second incident of arson was reported in the same location and took place at around the same time. Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene on all three occasions and quickly extinguished the fires. Nobody was reported to have been injured in either incident. Police arrested a man in his 40s on 23 April, on suspicious of criminal damage and arson not endangering life. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre to be questioned and was subsequently bailed to return to police on 14 May 2021, whilst enquires continue. |

su 14 Jul 2013 | 9:30am-1:00pm on the second Saturday of the month go past the Hoxne Swan on your right, turn left then over the little bridge and on the right in the village hall it'll be the Artisan Market ... a regular stream of visitors and such a delicious smell of freshly cooked bacon from the cafe if they attached it to the market's posters it'd be the busiest market in Suffolk. |

Asalways quirky, original and highly entertaining we were particularly pleased to see a ukulele move from the pit to centre stage. Mouth to Mouth's garden tour continues this coming weekend at Hoxne, Framlingham, Orford and Laxfield. |
su 11 Dec 2011 | Vix is a very hard working lady but the Kicks keep up with her and together at the Pre-Crimbo Bash last night in Hoxne (a Suffolk village that still has a pub and a shop) they were achieving that hardest of tasks getting people to dance. We left before the midnight finish because we didn't want the village's attractive Christmas lights to go off before we could snap them. |
